Well I think its a good design and it is a learning & tutorial site. So maybe fast loading and ease of use were more of an issue. Instead of super fancy graphics and flashing things that distract or take time to download. The site is just fine the way it is. :) I am still learing photoshop 7 and I read a lot on here. I am also a long time frontpage user but know how to code html by hand but who needs that :)
