Hi Jack. The problem with using a transparent gif in this case is that the edges of the text will be jagged. There is no half-transparency. The pixels must always be fully solid, or totally transparent. If your title is on a solid colour background, just make your gif with that colour as its background. If you're using a background, try not using it. Backgrounds look bad 99% of the time, and often lead to problems like the one you've got now. If you really like your background (I assume you're using one), you can always put a piece of it as the background of your gif.
