Making canvas width 5 times larger, and tiling detailed image 5 times

I have an image that is detailed wood. I need to change the canvas to be 5 times wider and make the image look like one solid piece of wood. The original has lighting such that one side is lighter than the other and so my tiling attempts have looked terrible. Any help appreciated.
